Estate Planning, Probates and Estate Litigation
People across Washington State seek our counsel in the area of Wills, Trusts and Estates. We develop long-term relationships with our clients — often across generations — by helping them through significant events, difficulties, and transactions, always with creative and cost-effective solutions, precision and compassion.
Our approach to estate planning is innovative and client-focused. We emphasize precision and simplicity in every estate plan. Families grow and their needs change. Tax laws and assets change. We provide clients estate planning documents that address their needs over time. We make sure each estate planning document is straight-forward and meets our client’s personal goals.
Probates and Trust Administration
We help Executors and Administrators with the process of transferring assets when a loved one dies, assist with creditor claims, and in some cases, resolve disputes. Sometimes we represent estate beneficiaries when an Executor or Trustee is not observing the terms of the Will or Trust.
Real estate transactions are a natural off-shoot from our estate planning practice. We help clients who are buying, selling or financing real estate.
We understand that structure can influence the success of a family business. Establishing expectations between parties from the beginning goes a long way towards preserving relationships and the business. We help clients identify potential pitfalls and navigate expectations. We make sure each corporate transaction is structured in an easily understood way, with precise documentation of the transaction.

We added litigation to our practice when Owen Gabrielson joined the firm. At his prior firms (Holland & Knight and Graham & Dunn) Owen represented financial institutions in all types of debtor and creditor situations. He was Graham & Dunn’s go-to person for lenders needing a prejudgment attachment, custodial receivership or special asset recovery. Our litigation practice focuses Owen’s experience exclusively in trusts & estates disputes, probate litigation and debtor/creditor disputes.
